The Evolution of Playground Safety

Hello everyone. Today I want to talk about something that’s changing the playground industry, and it’s what’s happening underneath the surface.
Today, we’re seeing a new generation of engineered plastic safety systems.
This is the Tiger Combiflex, an injection-molded polypropylene system that was originally developed in Australia and is now changing the way playground safety is being built around the world.
Instead of relying on foam, Tiger Combiflex uses an engineered interlocking structure that provides exceptional impact attenuation while maintaining excellent drainage.
Water flows through the system instead of becoming trapped beneath the surface, helping create a cleaner, drier, and more durable playground.
One of the biggest advantages is the installation. The tiles simply lock together, and there’s no adhesives, no harmful solvents, and installation can move much faster than any traditional systems.
Performance is where this product really stands out.
The Tiger Combiflex has been tested to provide a critical fall height of 8 feet when installed as part of a qualified playground surfacing system. That’s a tremendous level of impact protection while still providing a stable walking surface that meets ADA accessibility requirements.
It is also UV stabilized, and manufactured from recyclable polypropylene, making it a long-lasting solution for many commercial applications.
