CAP THE VALVE

I recently spoke about irrigation under turf and wanted to reiterate and stress how crucial it is to CAP THE VALVE!

I often witness contractors capping existing irrigation under newly placed turf by using threaded caps and plugs.

By capping and plugging irrigation heads, you allow the existing lines to remain pressurized when the valves are turned on.

I DO NOT recommend this method due to taking the chance of hitting these lines with turf nails and staples.

Please cap the valves and reroute any irrigation from under your turf to prevent any damage and water leaks!
